This is the one offering here built for two- to five-year-olds, and at thirty minutes it is the right length for them. Note the cap: the farm asks for daycare groups of ten or fewer, so a full room may need to split across two Thursdays. It is cancelled outright in rain or strong wind.

What the children do

A weekly drop-in storytime for young children, held Thursdays from 10:45 to 11:15 am. Each week has a different theme and new stories, followed by meeting the animals and colouring. No registration is required. The farm asks that large groups do not attend, and states that daycares of 10 or fewer children may come.

Both the FAQ and the group visits page now read $7 adult / $6 child, and the group visits page calls these 'this year's suggested amounts', so the higher figures are recorded. All of the paths inside the farm are gravel, with no steep inclines and no stairs. The site answers the accessibility question with this description rather than a yes or no.

There is a parking lot directly outside the farm, along Circle Drive. The site does not say whether a coach can park or set down there.

The farm sits in the middle of Beacon Hill Park. The nearest public washroom is by the playground, about a 3-minute walk.

Restrictions

Please only come to visit the farm if everyone in your group feels healthy.. Remember to wash your hands before and after visiting with the animals.. Adult supervisors should monitor young children to ensure that they do not put their fingers or any objects in their mouth while in animal areas.. There is a maximum capacity for the goat petting area on busy days; without a booking a group may not be able to enter it.
