This is the option with no travel and no weather in it, which matters for a group too young for a riverbank. One hour is about right for a screen, and it is the only offering the museum gives a firm length for.
What the children do
One hour interactive sessions delivered to the classroom by Zoom with the museum's Earth Science Curator. Two topics are offered at the same price: Fossil A, an introduction to prehistoric life in the Comox Valley with a Zoom tour of the palaeontology exhibits and a chance to study specimens up close and ask questions, and Geology A, a discussion of regional geology with a tour of the museum gallery. Booking is by phone.
Stay in their own room and watch a presentation and a live tour of the museum galleries on screen, looking at fossil specimens held up close to the camera and asking the curator questions.

One hour, delivered to your room by Zoom, booked by phone. Nothing else is needed at your end beyond a screen and a connection. Group size, ages and lead time are not stated.
Sources disagree. Their school programs page has been showing two different prices, an older one of about $120 plus tax and a current one of $150 for a group of up to 30. The $150 is what the page shows now. Get the price confirmed in writing when you book.
Sources disagree. The fossil tour price has been shown two ways, once as $36.75 for a child and once as $35 with tax added on top to reach the same total. Either way it comes to $36.75 a child, but ask whether tax is included so there is no surprise.
