At $50 a session this is priced per class rather than per child, so it costs the same whether you have twelve students or thirty. Session length is not published, so ask when you book.

What the children do

Distance learning session for Grade 5-8 students on the Castle's connections to coal mining and railway development in British Columbia, including a photo analysis activity. Distance learning programs include a slideshow presentation, videos, a lesson plan and a live Q&A session with a collections expert and tour guide via Zoom. $50.00 per session.

Visitors are encouraged to leave personal possessions (coats, backpacks, and strollers) in their vehicle.

Unfortunately, the Castle is 87 stairs to the top with no elevator. However, accessibility tours and programs are available upon request.

School buses can park on Joan Crescent in front of the Castle while on school business.

No food or drink. No touching. No tripods. No selfie sticks. No large backpacks, suitcases, or strollers allowed. We can provide limited storage space for backpacks; however, we highly recommend leaving them on the bus.. Certified guide and service dogs are welcome in the Castle.
