Filberg Lodge drop-in tour
What it actually looks like
What the children do
Volunteer guides show visitors through the 1930s Filberg Lodge, a 4,000 square foot Arts and Crafts style heritage house, and tell the stories of the home. The lodge also holds Bob's Office, a restored room about hand logging in the Comox Valley in the 1920s and 1930s with artifacts and photographs, and the volunteer run gift shop occupies the rooms of the house. Tours run May 28 to August 27, every Thursday from 12 PM to 3 PM, with no appointment needed. The site does not say what year those dates belong to and gives no price for the tour.
Walk through the rooms of an old wooden house with a guide, look at the leaded glass windows and stonework, and see the logging photographs and objects set out in Bob's Office.
Good to know
Indoors, one afternoon a week in summer only, with washrooms out in the park rather than in the house. No price, no group booking route and no group size limit are published, so ring the lodge office first.
