Public guided tour

What it actually looks like
What the children do
Government House is open to the public via free guided tours covering history, points of interest, and art and architecture. Space is limited and visitors must register in advance through the Government House Eventbrite page, up to two weeks ahead. As of the September 2026 reading, the page says there were limited dates in August because of events at Government House and that there will be regular Saturday tours in September. The site notes that public tours are limited to individual registrants, so a group leader would use the private group tour route instead. Tours include stairs, walking and standing in place, with minimal seating; there is no access to elevators, but a ramp is available for wheelchairs and walkers.
Follow a guide through the residence's public rooms on foot, standing to look at the art, the architecture and the objects the guide points out.
