The $40 is the children's price for ages 7 to 12 and an adult shares the same double kayak, so budget a full price seat for every adult you bring. It only runs at 4pm from June to the end of August, which is late in the day for a childcare group.
What the children do
A leisurely 90 minute paddle through the sheltered waterways of Victoria's harbour in stable double kayaks, with two paddlers on board so it is easier for smaller paddlers. It follows a brief lesson and orientation. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Children 7 to 12 years old are $40, which the site describes as half price, and reservations are required. It runs every day at 4pm from June 1 to August 31.
Sit in the front of a double kayak with an adult behind them, take a short lesson on the dock, then paddle for about ninety minutes around the sheltered parts of the harbour.
Good to know
It all happens on the water with the gear provided and no indoor space or rain plan described. The adult price for this tour is not published, and they do not mention washrooms of their own, so ask about both when you call.
