Museum visit
What it actually looks like
What the children do
A drop-in visit to the permanent displays, feature exhibits and revolving art gallery, with volunteers on hand. The page says admission is free, and further down that admission is by donation. Things named on the page include a Story Wall of clips about local events, the historical wooden 49th parallel town marker, a re-curve bow by local maker Art Williams, a miniature Victorian home and some children's toys. The museum, gift shop, gallery and Learning Centre are all in the one building.
Walk through the display rooms looking at objects from the town's mining, lumber and railway past, read the Story Wall, and find the miniature Victorian house and the old children's toys.
Good to know
Free to get in, indoors, with a wheelchair ramp and a bathroom downstairs in the Learning Centre. Nothing is published about lunch space, bus parking or how many children they can take at once.
