What it actually looks like
Our note
The museum is one small log building and its public hours are Saturday afternoons only, so a weekday visit has to be arranged with the volunteers who run it. No price, length, group size or minimum age is published, so ask for all four in the same call. The washroom is very small, which is worth knowing before you arrive with a group of little ones.
What the children do
The Society invites student classes and seniors' groups to book a tour of the Log Cabin. The museum is a single log building holding exhibits of local Saanich Peninsula history, with a permanent children's display and rotating exhibits. Admission to the museum is by donation. Nothing is published about what a booked tour costs, how long it runs, how many children can come, or which days tours are available.
Good to know
There is a washroom on site and step free access by ramp from a flat paved parking lot, though the washroom is very small. Lunch space, bus parking, group size and the cost of a booked tour are not published, so it is worth a call.
