Our note
Useful when the bus is the thing standing in your way. It costs $50 more than coming to the museum, and only three of the four topics travel, so check that the one you want is on the list. The site does not say what they need from your room, so ask when you book.

What the children do

The museum will bring a school program to your classroom for $200 for the group. Three of the four topics travel: Pollution Solutions for kindergarten to grade 2, In Search of Equality for grades 4 to 6 and grade 9, and Voyages to the Coast for grades 4 to 6. Each is 90 minutes for up to 30 students. Furs, Forts, and Fervour is offered at the museum and online only.

The same program runs in your own classroom, so children stay in a room they know. What they handle depends on which of the three travelling topics you pick, from water cycle stations to a suitcase activity to knot tying.

Good to know

They come to you, so your own washrooms, lunch space and room are what the day rests on. What they need set up, and how much notice they want for a school visit, are not published, so ask when you book.

Washrooms
We have a gender inclusive, single stall washroom available that has a baby change table. While this should be large enough for a standard wheelchair to fit in, a motorized wheelchair will not.
Lunch space
While we don't offer food or beverages for sale, you're more than welcome to bring along non-messy snacks.
