What it actually looks like

Our note
The museum is two rooms and most people are through in half an hour to an hour, so this works better as one stop in a downtown morning than as the whole outing. Groups of eight or more still have to book ahead even though nobody is guiding you. This is the price per child, not per group.

What the children do

Groups go through the gallery at their own pace, with interactive exhibits, a scavenger hunt and self guided activity books available for all ages. The group rate is $4 for children and youth under 17 and $7.50 for adults and seniors. Designated aides are free and Leisure Assistance Pass holders get 80 percent off. Groups of eight or more are asked to book through the booking form with the date, time, group size and age category.

Children move through the two gallery rooms at their own pace, look at the exhibits and try the interactive ones, work through a scavenger hunt and fill in an activity book.

Good to know

A washroom with a baby change table on site, step free for standard wheelchairs, and snacks are allowed although there is nowhere set aside to sit and eat. There is nothing published about bus parking, so sort out drop off before the day.

Washrooms
We have a gender inclusive, single stall washroom available that has a baby change table. While this should be large enough for a standard wheelchair to fit in, a motorized wheelchair will not.
Lunch space
While we don't offer food or beverages for sale, you're more than welcome to bring along non-messy snacks.
