What it actually looks like

Our note
The height rule bites harder than the age rule. A four or five year old under 42 inches can only ride in an adult's tube, so count your adults before you count your children. There is also straw on the lanes at times to slow the tubes, which matters if anyone in the group reacts to it.

What the children do

A one hour pass on the tube park lanes, with a covered surface lift carrying riders back to the top. Every rider needs a ticket whatever their age or height and must be at least 2 years old, and riders must be at least 42 inches, or 107 cm, tall to have their own tube. Anyone under 42 inches rides free in an adult's tube, and children under 12 must be with an adult unless they are tall enough to ride alone. Ski or hard shell boots are not allowed, and no sleds, toboggans or personal tubes are permitted.

Slide down a groomed lane in a tube, then ride the covered lift back to the top and go again, in squares of up to four tubes.

Good to know

Washrooms are on site. The park was shut for the rest of the season when this was checked and no price was up for the coming winter, so you cannot budget this one yet.

Sources disagree. Their contact page gives two different notice periods for booking a lesson. One line says 48 hours ahead, another says 24 hours through the call centre with a cut off at noon the day before. Book as early as you can and get the date confirmed.
