What it actually looks like
Our note
The fee is for the whole class, not for each child, so a full class is the cheapest way to do it. Sessions only run Tuesday to Friday, so a Monday outing is not an option.
What the children do
A 90 minute guided program at the museum for kindergarten to grade 2. Children learn about seasonal migration patterns and see how tools were made and used to create homes, art and prepare food. Each child receives their own mini loom for the weaving part. The price is $75 per class. Sessions run Tuesday to Friday, morning or afternoon.
Take part in hands on activities with a museum educator, look at how tools were made and used for homes, art and food, and weave on a small loom of their own.
Good to know
The museum is wheelchair accessible and the session is entirely indoors. Washrooms, somewhere to eat lunch and how many adults you need are not on the site, so it is worth a call before you book.
