What it actually looks like
What the children do
An after school art drop in for young people in grades 8 to 12, run by local artist Brooke Emily in the arts centre classroom. It runs on ten Tuesdays from 22 September to 24 November 2026, 3:30pm to 5:30pm. The fee is a single payment of $50 for the whole term and covers casual attendance, so a teen does not have to come every week. A base supply of art materials is provided, including donated materials. Homeschooled teens are named as welcome.
Work at their own pace on their own projects in the classroom, using watercolours, acrylics, pencils, pastels and canvas from the materials laid out for them, alongside other teenagers.
Good to know
It runs in the classroom at the arts centre, which is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 to 4. Nothing is published about washrooms, somewhere to eat or step free access, so ask if that matters.
