Adventure Program, 4 or 5 days
What it actually looks like
What the children do
Their most common school week and a 4 or 5 day residential stay. It introduces canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, high ropes, the zipline, the bog walk, camp skills and orienteering, and includes a one night out trip on Buttle Lake where the group sleeps under one shared tarp. Groups arrive at 1pm on the first day and leave at 9am on the last. One lodge instructor is provided for every 10 students, plus a teacher or chaperone. They recommend planning a year ahead.
Paddle a canoe or kayak, climb a rock face and rappel down it, cross a high ropes course, ride the zipline, walk the bog trail, then carry their kit out for a night of camping, cooking on a fire and sleeping under one shared tarp with the rest of the group.
Good to know
Meals, beds and washrooms are all on site and included in the price. There is no phone signal and no internet for young people, and nothing is published about step free access or bus parking.
