What it actually looks like

Our note
Four of their other hatcheries publish visitor hours and this one does not, so treat a visit as something to arrange rather than something to turn up for. The phone number on their locations page is the only route in. Ask what there is to see, and whether a group is welcome, before you book a bus.
What the children do
The Society's About page says most of its hatcheries welcome visitors and offer self guided tours. It does not say in so many words that the Duncan hatchery is one of them, and the locations page that lists visitor hours for four of the other hatcheries gives none for Duncan. Nothing is published about what there is to see here, how long a look round takes, whether there is a charge, or whether a class or daycare can be booked in. The phone number for the hatchery is 250-746-5180.
Good to know
Nothing at all is published for this site about opening times, price, washrooms, indoor space or where a bus would park. Everything here needs a phone call first.
