What it actually looks like
What the children do
A four day camp over spring break, March 22 to 25, 2027, run by West Coast NEST. Mornings are for grades 6 to 8 and afternoons for grades 9 to 12. The camp is built around building confidence and leadership and introducing young people to coastal career paths in science, sustainability, tourism and the arts. Families arrange their own travel and beds, with preferred rates offered at Pacific Sands Beach Resort and Tofino Resort and Marina. Only an interest list is open so far and no fee is published.
Four half days of hands on activities, guided field experiences and workshops, led by West Coast NEST staff alongside local professionals, environmental organizations, artists and Nuu chah nulth knowledge holders. Mornings are the grades 6 to 8 group, afternoons grades 9 to 12.
Good to know
The dates and the grade split are set and the camp runs on the west coast over spring break 2027. The fee, the daily times, where to meet and what to bring are not published yet, and families sort out their own travel and accommodation.
